In the world of troubles and chaos,
People
are ignorant and fighting,
There
are plenty of evils today,
But who cares?
If I
am thrown into the pit,
If I
am hanged to the coconut tree,
And
if I am innocently tortured,
Who cares about me?
I am
scavenging in city dumps,
Family
members ignore me,
I am
staving, tortured by hunger,
But who cares?
When
I am sick on bed at home,
Having
no money for treatments,
No
food, no help any more,
Then who cares?
When
I am an orphan, no services,
Walking
pekupeku, eating makombo,
No
school fees no good clothes,
Then who cares?
When
they eat sambusa and chapati,
And
I take matosani,kande and ng`ing`i,
When
I am innocently hatred by people,
Who cares?
When
politicians cheat me,
When
they promise me millions,
Very
soon they want billions,
Who cares?
When
parents are lazy and dunked,
When
the youngs put on vimini and kata Ks,
When
people rape, abort and kill,
Who cares?
When
students fail their examinations,
They
resit after getting division zeros,
They
don’t stud only engage in sex,
Then who cares?
Hallow
dear brethren, listen,
It
is I and you to take care,
If
we turn aside and say “shauli yao!”
Then
no one will come and take care!
